MY APPROACH
Every photographer has their own style, so it's important to take the time to make sure you're finding the right one for you. I encourage you to browse my website and get a feel for the type of images you can expect from your session. My approach is to create a relaxed and comfortable environment where you can be your authentic self. I help provide you with gentle posing and prompts, but for most of our time together, I want you to have fun together laughing and playing while I capture those genuine, raw moments in between. I will make sure we get a few traditionally posed portraits, but most of your gallery will be full of moments that evoke emotion and connection that don't come from looking into the camera. If you're looking for someone to perfect every pose and direct every detail, I may not be the right fit for you and that's okay! You deserve a photographer and experience to fit all of your wants and needs. From the moment we start, my focus is to help set the tone to make sure you feel comfortable and we will organically build from there. This recipe creates those genuine, story telling moments that defines who I am as a photographer. My goal is to make your session experience meaningful and one you will treasure for a lifetime.
The Process
I. Book it.
Yay! I'm so happy you're here! Fill out the contact form, let me know the type of session you're interested in, and share any additional details like potential booking dates and your vision for the session. I will follow up within 24-48 hours.
II. plan it.
Once we have secured your date with a retainer, I'll send over a brief questionnaire. The purpose of this form helps to gather your thoughts, information, & details all in one place, all while getting to know a little more about you so it doesn't feel like we're strangers. I'll also share my client guide full of tips, style recommendations, and things to keep in mind while preparing for your session. From there, we'll chat more about your hopes for the session and find the perfect location.
III. The big day.
It's time to make some memories! I describe my approach to photography as laidback & natural. I want you to enjoy the experience by providing an easy-going atmosphere and document moments as they happen authentically. While we will capture some formal, posed portraits that you can hang around your home, I also want to focus on the essences of you. Those imperfectly perfect moments that give all the feels. My hope is that you love the experience just as much as you love the end result.
IV. Deliver memories.
Now it's time to see the magic we created. Your photos will be delivered through an online private gallery two to three weeks after the session. Once you have viewed your collection and relived the memories all over again, you'll select your favorites based on the amount of images included in your package. Then final touches will be made to those faves.
V. Download, print, & enjoy.
Once your images have been carefully hand edited, your private online gallery will be ready for download with a click of a button. Premium, high quality prints are available to order from a partnered professional lab. Add to cart directly from your gallery and the goods will be delivered straight to your front door. how do you describe your style?
I like to describe my style as authentic and candid while staying true to my storytelling approach. With every session, I want your photos to tell a story, to tell your story! Sometimes you may catch me saying nothing at all while I follow you around. That's just me, capturing how I see beauty in your truest form. My editing style consists of warm tones with slight contrast. You, a splash of golden light, paired with eye-catching composition is the recipe to my style.
How will I receive my photos?
Your high resolution photos will be delivered through an online private gallery, accessible right here on my website. With a click of a button, you will be able to download your photos.
What is your turnaround time?
For full sessions, please allow 2-3 weeks from the session date to deliver your gallery. I understand the anticipation of seeing your final photos! I believe in prioritizing quality and attention to detail during the editing process to deliver exceptional images that exceed your expectations. Please plan for your session accordingly.
Do you give out RAW (unedited) photos?
Short answer - no. Giving you unedited photos is like giving you the job half done. I put just as much of my heart and efforts into bringing your photos to life through my editing process. All galleries are delivered fully edited reflective to what you see throughout my portfolio.
Do you travel?
Yes! Travel fees vary according to location.
